Thrive Kids Canada is opening a new location in West Kelowna! 

The new Centre, located at Morning Star Bible Camp in Glenrosa, opens for after-school care on January 4, 2021. It will create thirty-five new spots in after-school care for kids from K-age 12, with pickups provided from George Pringle, Helen Gorman, Shannon Lake, and Glenrosa Elementary Schools.

These thirty-five new child care spaces are available through our partnership with Morning Star Bible Camp. Our program will be based at the Camp, utilizing the camp’s off-season facilities, including indoor climbing wall and gymnasium, in addition to our staple nature-based activities and out-trips. 

Interaction with nature is essential to overall health and well-being, which is why regular outdoor activities are central to our program. Parents can rest knowing their kids will be outside and active for the majority of their time, developing skills, exploring and discovering the world around them.

We're opening this new location without any government funding, relying on our own fundraising efforts and volunteer hours and partnership with Morning Star Bible Camp to initially get off the ground. Our team is excited to begin the program in West Kelowna. The response from the community has been really positive, and we look forward to building relationship with the community.

All programs follow the regulations of the local Health Authority and the Province of BC for childcare programming during COVID-19.
