Leadership Experience And Development (L.E.A.D.) Program

Who: Students age 13-18
What: Hands-on leadership development
When: Summer Break
Where: Your nearest Thrive centre

Students will be matched with a Senior Staff mentor, who will mentor the L.E.A.D. student throughout their time in the program. This Senior Staff mentor will assist the student in becoming an effective leader by creating opportunities for leadership in the day camp setting. L.E.A.D., including empowering Jr. Leader Campers. Students will learn and grow while creating lifelong leadership skills and amazing summer memories!

The L.E.A.D. Program Includes:

  • Admission to all Day Camp activities and events on your weeks including things like water slides, adventure parks, rec centers, and tourist destinations. 
  • Training and hands-on leadership development 
  • Certificate of volunteer hours for school or youth award programs
  • Reference Letter for potential employers

How to Apply

Please complete and submit the following forms and bring them to your chosen centre. Contact the Centre Manager to arrange when you can drop off your application.

The new eCRC system uses a BC Services Card to validate. Applicants must have a valid BC Services card to submit a criminal record check online, or submit a paper application (linked below).

Declaration of Immunization*

*Please Note: Immunization is not required, however, this declaration is mandatory for licensed childcare centres in B.C.
